Conditions for Obtaining Debit Cards with Accounts
To obtain a payment card, you must have or set up a current CZK account with GE Money Bank, and the age of the card holder must be at least 18 years (the minimum age for Maestro cards is 15 years).
The documents to be submitted by a new and existing client with a payment card request depend on the type of the client:
Natural person who is acting in the capacity of a sole proprietor, with permanent residence in the Czech Republic:
- Valid personal identification card
- Second identification document such as birth certificate, driving licence, passport, or military service book (vojenská knížka)
- Trade licence or special trade licence (koncesní listina) or another document authorising the client to engage in business
- Contact telephone number.
Legal entity with its registered seat in the Czech Republic:
- Excerpt from the Commercial Registry or another document authorising the client to engage in business
- Personal identification documents of the company’s representative
- Contact telephone number.
Clients who do not have their permanent residence in the Czech Republic:
- Two identification documents (personal identification card, valid passport, driving licence)
- Contact telephone number
- If the client requests a MasterCard Business and/or Mastercard Internet card, he also needs to present:
- A tax return
- A long-term residence permit (valid for at least another 6 months after the date of the submission of his application) or a temporary residence permit (given to EU citizens)
- At the time of applying, the client must have resided in the Czech Republic for at least 3 months
- Purpose of stay (formal check).
Citizens of the Slovak Republic can present a valid personal identification card instead of a passport.

Conditions for Obtaining Credit Card
We do not issue the MoneyCard Business since 1.7.2009. Instead of MoneyCard Business we offer to all applicants for credit card the personal MoneyCard.
A MoneyCard can be requested by anyone who complies with the following conditions:
- Citizen of the Czech Republic older than 18 years
- A permanent source of income (if you are employed, you must not be in a probationary or termination period)
- Permanent residence and contact address in the Czech Republic
- Current account in any bank
- A fixed line to work + other contact phone number
Documents Required:
- Personal identification card and another identification document (e.g., driving licence or passport)
- Documents about you income:
- emloyees: Income confirmation not older than 1 month (you can use GE Money Bank or GE Money Multiservis printed form available on every GE Money Bank branch)
- pensioners: Pension assessment not older than 12 months
- entrepreneurs: - Trade licence or Special trade licence (Koncesní listina) or another document authorising the client to engage in business + Tax return for last year (not required of start-up entrepreneurs who have not yet filed a tax return)
- Bank account statement not older than 1 month that is stated in favor of client and that contains one of the addresses stated in the client's application

Card Delivery and PIN
The holder can choose to pick up his card at a GE Money Bank branch or have it delivered by post.
The PIN is sent by regular post to the name and address of the card holder. For security reasons, the card and PIN are not sent on the same day. The card and PIN can only be sent within the Czech Republic.
The average time for the delivery of the card is 5 business days after the signing of the agreement.

You can request a payment card at any GE Money Bank branch. If you do not have a current account with us, we will gladly open it for you without waiting also at any GE Money Bank branch.
