What is Mobile Banking

Mobile Banking is a banking application installed on your mobile telephone that allows you to:

  • Find out the balance of your account (current, savings, term, loan)
  • With the SMS Service, have an overview of all of the transactions in your account,
  • Enter one-time payment orders (e.g., pay bills, send money to another account)
  • Enter or cancel standing payment orders
  • Find out current exchange rates and interest rates
  • Recharge a pre-paid Go Card, Vodafone Card, or Twist Card for yourself or anyone else, or pay for other Vodafone services directly from your mobile
  • With the Infolimit service, regularly receive information about how far you can go into debt with your Flexicredit, or about the amount of an Express Personal Loan that GE Money Bank will offer you

Mobile Banking saves your time and money, as payment orders entered via Mobile Banking are far cheaper than at a branch!

SMS Service

The SMS Service has expanded Mobile Banking’s functionalities, by adding the option to receive SMS messages about transactions or account balances. The client will immediately find out that their salary has arrived, or that a loan instalment was sent. Setting up and cancelling the SMS Service is free and the settings of the service can be set via a mobile telephone. Thus, a Mobil Bank client does not have to visit a bank branch.

Transactions in an Account

With the SMS Service, Mobile Banking users in the networks of all operators can opt to receive messages about all transactions in their accounts above an amount they set. For example, with the amount set at CZK 500, the client will receive an SMS about all transactions in his account that come to this amount or higher. Furthermore, in the O2 and T-Mobile networks, it is possible to opt for only incoming or only outgoing payments. O2 clients can also decide to monitor only those transactions that were made with a payment card, if debited from a current account.

Balances

The SMS Service allows mobile telephone users in the O2 and Vodafone networks to receive messages with account balance information, with the frequency the client requests. T-Mobile network mobile phone users can opt to receive an SMS with account balance information if the account balance goes above or drops below an amount they have set. An innovation in the process is that this information is now sent automatically to the client’s mobile telephone. Previously, clients could only find out the account balance or payment transaction history with a one-time inquiry.
