Safe Internet Banking

Check that you are logging into the Internet Banking on the right page

When you open the Internet Banking log-in page, check that there is a padlock icon (depending on the version of your browser, it may be displayed in the upper right hand or lower left hand corner; in new browser versions, the command line will turn green, as well). When you click on this icon, a certificate confirming the validity and checking the identity of the page will be displayed

If you suspect that the log-in page is not behaving as it should, e.g., is asking you to enter your password, mobile key, or signature certificate in an unusual place, do not enter your log-in data. Contact GE Money Bank Customer Service at +420 224 443 636 and check that you are logging into Internet Banking on the right page.

Be attentive!

If you are using Internet Banking with a mobile key, please pay attention to the entire text of the SMS message containing the mobile key. For security reasons, each SMS contains not only the mobile key, but also a description of the transaction that you are authorising.

Protect your passwords and personal certificates

Do not provide your passwords and personal certificates to third parties. GE Money Bank never asks for your confidential information, e.g., your Internet Banking log-in data, by e-mail.

Have an overview of your money

Check your accounts regularly. If you notice any unusual transaction, contact us immediately.

Protect and update your computer

Install programs to protect your computer, such as anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and a firewall, and update them regularly. Also update your computer’s operating system regularly and use a current version of an Internet browser.

If you suspect that your access rights have been abused, immediately contact GE Money Bank Customer Service at +420 224 443 636 and request that your access to the Internet Banking would be blocked.

For more on security, see the document Rules for the Secure Use of Internet Banking (PDF).
