GE Money Auto began operating on the Czech market in 1994, and was then known as IMP Leas. In 1997, this successfully growing company became a member of the GE Consumer Finance Group, and on 1 October 1999, it was renamed GE Capital Leasing. Under the wings of the GE Group, it managed to build a position for itself as an innovator in speed and product availability, and it became the leader in the financing of pre-owned cars. On 17 January 2005, GE Capital Leasing was renamed as GE Money Auto, as a part of the re-branding of the entire Group.

Today, GE Money Auto is one of the largest leasing companies in the Czech Republic, providing financial leasing and loans for passenger and utility vehicles. Every year, it finances the largest number of cars for end customers on the Czech market. It is also the leader in financing pre-owned cars.
